First Durga Puja in Kolkata

First Durga Puja in Kolkata was celebrated in Shovabazar Rajbati(Bag ola bari) by RajaNaba Kissen Deb in the year 1757. Still today it's going by his ancestors in the same manor. Now a days there are Two pujas one in the old House (bag old bari) start from 1757 and the another one in the Choto rajbari which is just opposite to the old house start from 1893. Most of the rituals are maintaing this days also but there are few exception like Jatra Pala, Kabir lorai, Bisorjaner pakhi orano and Atashota jatra are not permitted now a days by the government.
